| PhD DSc. Natalia Chmielewska | Department of Experimental and Clinical Neuroscience, Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw | Evaluation of the role of miRNAs as potential modulators of seizure severity in the TMEV model | 25.03.2026 a.m. 11.00 | MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are recognized as key regulators of gene expression in cells. They have been shown to play a role in the etiopathogenesis of numerous neurological disorders, including central nervous system infections, seizures, and epilepsy. Given the development of pharmacological therapies inspired by the biological activity of miRNAs—as well as their regulatory network mechanism, which is highly relevant to the complex etiopathogenesis of seizures and epilepsy—we sought to determine the role of miRNAs in a viral model of seizures. |
