The Kielanowski Institute of Animal Physiology and Nutrition Polish Academy of Sciences (KIAPN PAS) has prepared Gender Equality Plan. The special Commission for Gender Equality has been set for this purpose (Governance of Director of the Institute No. 32/2021 of December 8, 2021). The composition of the Commission is:
- Prof. PhD DSc Dorota Tomaszewska-Zaremba – Chairman
- PhD DSc Grzegorz Skiba, professor of the Institute – Vice Chairman
- PhD DSc Anna Antuszewicz, professor of the Institute – Member
- PhD DSc Grzegorz Bełżecki, professor of the Institute – Spokesperson for equality and counteracting discrimination (set by the Governance of Director of the Institute No. 31/2021 of December 8, 2021).
Plan aims
Commission for Gender Equality has established main aims of the Gender Equality Plan (GEP) in The Kielanowski Institute of Animal Physiology and Nutrition Polish Academy of Sciences:
- engagement in gender equality in scientific careers and professional development activities by increasing the equity, diversity and availability awareness;
- enhancing positive attitude towards diversity in recruitment;
- supporting career progression of female researchers;
- assuring gender balance in recruitment;
- assuring gender representation balance in the Institute Commissions, directory board, expert committees and leading of scientific events;
- combating gender violence and protection and supporting its victims;
- allowing each employee bind professional and family life (e.g., by flexible working hours and/or working online from home).
Currently in the Institute governances concerning anti-mobbing policies and anti-corruption policies, which are also the part of the broadly understand Gender Equality Plan are in force:- Governance No. 9/2020 of Director of The Kielanowski Institute of Animal Physiology and Nutrition Polish Academy of Sciences of March 4, 2020 concerning the introduction of anti-corruption policies in The Kielanowski Institute of Animal Physiology and Nutrition Polish Academy of Sciences.
- Governance No. 10/2020 of Director of The Kielanowski Institute of Animal Physiology and Nutrition Polish Academy of Sciences of March 4, 2020 concerning the introduction of anti-mobbing policies in The Kielanowski Institute of Animal Physiology and Nutrition Polish Academy of Sciences.
