On September 20, 2025 scientists from our Institute actively participated in the XXIII Festival ‘Science with the Palace in the background’ organised by Jabłonna Palace under the honorary patronage of the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, Legionovian Mayor, Jabłonna Parish Leader and Mazovian Regional Tourist Organisation President.
The event took place in the picturesque setting of the palace and park at 105 Modlińska Street in Jabłonna, near Warsaw, attracting numerous guests interested in science and its practical applications.
During the Festival, Paweł Kowalczyk, PhD, DSc, and Grzegorz Bełżecki, PhD, DSc, presented the lecture ‘Analysis of 4 types of diets in the induction of pathogenic oral microbiota’, in which they discussed the influence of different nutritional models on shaping the oral microbiota, with particular emphasis on its potential pathogenic effect. It was shown that the analysis of dietary habits allows for the identification of factors contributing to microbiological imbalances and those that can support oral health and limit the development of caries or periodontal disease.
On the festival stand, entitled ‘Underwater worlds and lands of reptiles and insects – discover the secrets of exotic animals,’ were presented, among others, the bearded dragon, Madagascar and Argentinean cockroaches, house crickets, zebrafish, and the common metalworm. The presentations were made by Tomasz Bartoszek, MSc eng, Bogumił Łosiewicz, MSc eng, Karolina Wojtulewicz, PhD, Joanna Bochenek, MSc, Urszula Wolska-Świętlicka, MSc, and Misza Kinsner, MSc, who coordinated the Festival in the name of Institute. The presentation aroused great interest among the participants, both children and adults, including the Jabłonna Parish Leader Mr. Jarosław Chodorski. The overall event was very well received, and the lively discussions and curiosity of visitors show that learning in an attractive form can be an inspiring experience for a wide audience.
Thank you for your presence, engagement and joint discovery
of the secrets of the world of science !
