On 26–27 July 2025 the XXVIII Zootechnics workshops ‘Feed production in Mazovia – an example of promotion and economic development of the region’ were held. The event was organised by Warsaw Unit of Polish Zootechnics Society. The meetings took place on the farm owned by Katarzyna and Marek Tomaszewski in Przasnysz, where Liomousine beef cattle is bred. The animals are under the control of Polish Association of Beef Cattle Breeders and Producers. On the basis of Agricultural Retail Trade the farmers sell the beef meet. It is worth underling that the farm is certified by a Quality Meat Porgramme (QMP) – the system of beef meat production that guarantee high quality. What is more, winter wheat, winter triticale, rye, sugar beets, and corn for grain and silage are cultivated on this farm. The area of grasslands comprises almost 9 ha.

Together with advisors from Mazovian Agricultural Advisory Centre the participants of workshops discussed the issues of animal farms biosecurity, which is professionally adapted on this farm.

The farmers produce in their own cheese factory different types of cheese (fresh, soft, semi-hard and hard), kefirs and yoghurts. There was a great opportunity to taste these delicious products, even ice creams and cheesecake. On the farm there is also lavender field and the workshops for children and adults are held.
