Prof. Agnieszka Białek from the Jan Kielanowski Institute of Animal Physiology and Nutrition of the Polish Academy of Sciences was invited to participate in a podcast recording for Polish Radio Channel 4 titled “How Does Microplastic Affect Us?”

The recording was produced as part of the series “What’s This Science About?” (*O co chodzi z tą nauką?*), created in collaboration with the Polish Academy of Sciences. Prof. Białek was invited to the podcast as an expert and as the principal investigator of the NCN OPUS 27 project, which focuses on the intergenerational effects of microplastic exposure using a Japanese quail model.

The discussion covered topics such as sources of microplastics, pathways of entry into the human body, the current state of knowledge regarding potential health effects, and key directions in contemporary research on this phenomenon. The conversation was hosted by Weronika Puszkar.
